Hard water: settle it before the work starts

Water in the Lake Geneva basin is hard. Limescale cuts a water heater's efficiency, clogs taps and shortens the life of appliances. Before rebuilding a bathroom it is worth deciding whether the installation will get a softener or an anti-scale treatment: adding one afterwards costs considerably more, because the distribution has to be opened up again.

How we work

We quote after seeing the installation, not over the phone: the state of the riser, access to the stopcocks and the type of existing pipework affect the price far more than the chosen taps. For work in an apartment building we coordinate the water shut-off with the managing agent.

Plumbing work almost always touches tiling and sometimes electrics. We cover those trades in-house, so a single bathroom does not mean waiting on three different firms.

Yes. Replacing a boiler is a standalone job; while we are there we check the safety valve and the expansion vessel.
