Every job follows the NIV standards and SIA guidelines, and ends with the documentation your managing agent, your insurer or a buyer will ask for.

Compliance and the OIBT inspection

Every electrical installation in Switzerland must be inspected periodically — every twenty years for a dwelling, more often for commercial premises. The owner receives a notice, is given a deadline to have the inspection carried out, and must produce a safety report. We carry out the corrections an inspection calls for and supply the corresponding safety report.

It is also the logical moment to modernise an old board: many flats in Geneva and Lausanne still have boards without a residual-current device, which suit neither an EV charger nor a modern kitchen.

How we work

We come to the property, survey the existing installation and issue an itemised quotation. The work is scheduled with you and, where needed, coordinated with the managing agent or the owners' association. On completion you receive the installation diagram and the compliance documents.

Because we also cover plumbing, climate systems and finishing, a renovation touching several trades still runs through a single point of contact.

Frequently asked questions

Do electrical works in Switzerland require an authorisation?

Work on the fixed installation is reserved for companies holding an installation permit issued by ESTI. We hold the required qualifications and notify the works where that is necessary.

Can you issue a safety report?

Yes. We carry out the compliance work and provide the safety report required at a periodic OIBT inspection, on a sale, or when re-letting.

Do you work in older city-centre buildings?

Yes. Older buildings in Geneva and Lausanne call for cable-routing solutions that suit the structure and for coordination with the managing agent; it is a substantial part of our work.

Do you install EV charging points?

Yes, including assessing the available capacity, type B residual-current protection and, in a co-ownership, preparing the file for the general meeting.
